Extremely saddened to hear of Flo's passing. My wife and I send heartfelt condolences to the family. My wife and I are old friends of Flo's...We know her since 1983. We would like to plant trees in her memory ( through the Arbor Foundation)...but don't have ANY contact info to send the remembrance card to. Would greatly appreciate it if someone could contact us with that info.
Peace

I will provide my email (private posting, visible to you only, I believe), and if you write to me, I'll send you some contact info for Flo's family.

It is with profound sadness that I learned of the passing of dear Flo, who I always knew as a kind, sweet, caring and marvelous person. I had the privilege of meeting her when she lived briefly in San Francisco, in 1971 and 1972. I had moved there from Florida around the same time, and was living with my sister Carole, who was introduced to Flo by Flo's boyfriend at the time, Paul. She became close friends with my sister who had just moved to San Francisco from New York, and of course, had the New York connection in common. She was a dear friend to both of us over the years. My sister knew several comic book artists, and there was that bond as well. I always visited Flo on my visits to New York in the 70s and 80s. I hadn't seen her in years. Sadly, my sister Carole passed six years ago, and Flo called me a couple of times to see how I was doing, and to send her love, care and compassion. What a great lady! It was by sheer coincidence that I learned of Flo's passing. I just got back from Seattle and an Alaska cruise a few days ago. In Seattle, I visited one museum, the Museum of Pop Culture, fascinating. There was a Marvel Comics exhibit that just opened, and in the exhibit was a plaque in tribute to "Fabulous Flo Steinberg", and a description of her work and connection to Marvel. The last line said she passed in 2017. I had no idea!! I do have a picture of the plaque/poster if anyone would like; I can e-mail it. This was on July 22, and I realized it was one day short of her Yahrzeit. In the Jewish religion, the anniversary of the death is remembered and prayers are said, as well as a candle being lit. So, I light this candle in remembrance of a dear lady and a dear friend, beloved by a lot of people.
