We so appreciated being Abe's neighbors down the road for over twenty years. He brought us hay, compost, bunnies, and even two roosters(!). We will miss our conversations about gardens, current events and Cherrytown history. We send our condolences to his family. Julie and Penny

Another giant of the mountains has fallen. Abe, along with his brother Sam, Mendy Samuels, Winston VanKeeck, George Schwab, Frank, Russel and Lawrence Kortright, to name a few, are the men whose lives enriched all of us who were fortunate enough to know them.

Another great man of the Kerhonkson area has moved on. My sincere condolences to Abe's family and friends.I met Abe back in the 70's riding my motorcycle over on Boice Mill Rd. He had his old Ford pick-up off in a field with a big old rattle snake hung over the hood. At the time I thought it was the biggest baddest snake I ever saw. I was young and things looked bigger then. I had the peasure of runnig into Abe for many years after that. So long old friend. Time marches on.
