Anthony H. Barringer, 19, of Kerhonkson, NY
It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Anthony H. Barringer, age 19, of Kerhonkson, New York, on January 14, 2026. Anthony’s loss leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family meant everything to Anthony. He shared a deep and devoted love with his beautiful fiancée, Ariana Notaro.
He was the cherished son of Jennifer Krum, affectionately known as MommaK and Eugene Barringer, and a beloved future son-in-law to Jeremy and Amanda LaChance. Anthony was a devoted brother to Mikey Baracca (Heather Robbins), Jade Barringer (Maura Cleary), Zachary Barringer, Jorgey Martinez, Gio Martinez, Colton LaChance and Weston LaChance. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandmothers, Maryann Krum and Susan Barringer; his uncles, Krummy (Mercy) and Richie Kump (Laura); as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Rudy and Lucy Kump, and his beloved family dog, Kahlia. Anthony also leaves behind his closest friends: Zack Martinez, Aaron Cox, Cody Beach, Nathan Shultis, JJ Jansen, Dash Stratton, and Marty Williams Jr.
Anthony had a special place in his heart for his pets, Luna, Princess, Max, Harley and Mahli, who brought him constant comfort and joy. He was a passionate fan of the New York Jets and loved music, but held a special connection to Honestav and Buy Dirt by Luke Bryan, which were always part of his daily life.
A true pillar of the community, Anthony dedicated much of his life to football. He grew up playing in the Rondout Valley Youth Football League and continued through Rondout Valley High School, where he proudly served as a varsity team captain. Giving back came naturally to him, as he volunteered his time coaching youth football and basketball, inspiring younger athletes through encouragement and leadership. Family always came first, followed closely by his love for football.
Anthony was a hardworking and dedicated employee of Sheeley Roofing, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. Above all, he will be remembered for his kind heart and selfless nature. Anthony was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, never hesitating to help others.
Anthony’s legacy of love, generosity, and community spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched. He will forever be missed and deeply loved.
