Bonnie Lynn Mitchell (Binzer) passed peacefully in her sleep on June 29,2026 at the age of 73.
She was born in Ellenville, New York, on September 10, 1952, to the late Earl and Shirley DeGraw.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Dawn Marie Tierney (Sean) and Christina Bates; her cherished grandchildren: Katelyn Mitchell, Lindsey McCoy (Brandon), Aden McCoy (Marion) and Zoey Bates. She is also survived by her sisters: Diane Jones (Richard), Cheryl Labella; and her one brother, William DeGraw. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews which she loved dearly.
She has been reunited in passing with her dear parents; and sister, Judy Lee Gildemeyer.
Bonnie was employed by Benedictine Hospital as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner for 33 years. Bonnie loved her job. She had an innate gift for helping others and loved doing so.
After her retirement, she made baby blankets for the Albany NEO NIC Unit and crafted walker bags for multiple nursing homes in the surrounding area.
She loved the Lord and was a prayer warrior for her family and all those she found in need.
A visitation will take place at Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd Street, Kerhonkson, NY 12446, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
The Nurses Honor Guard will conduct a Nightingale Tribute at the funeral home on Thursday, July 2, 2026, which will begin promptly at 4:30 PM.
Humiston Funeral Home is honored to serve Bonnie’s family during this time of loss. We extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. May the memories of Bonnie’s faith, compassion, and devotion to others provide comfort and strength in the days ahead, and may her life be remembered with gratitude and love.
