Carole Marie Banks (Babcock / Ellsworth) of Accord NY, passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2012, following a long illness. Born on May 25, 1937 at Catskill Hospital, Catskill, NY,
Carole was the former wife of the Late Sgt.Joseph H. Ellsworth (NYSP/ Retired), of Accord NY and The Late Barry Banks (Bank Brothers Plumbing and Heating Contractors Inc.), of Accord NY. She was the Daughter of the Late Albert S. Babcock and the Late Grace L. Babcock. She was the Sister of the Late Albert S. Babcock II, and the Late Horatio ("Butch") I. Babcock.
Carole was an avid reader, fine artist, Animal lover and Social Advocate for civil rights, equality, social justice, and a friend to many.
She formally worked for the Devine Insurance Agency. Carole was formally the office manager and receptionist for Dr. Philip Parker D.D.S. Stone Ridge, NY.
She is survived by her sister Evelyn R. Babcock of Margaretville, NY, a Brother, The Honorable Albert ("Spike") S. Babcock III of Kerhonkson NY, and his wife Dawn, four children; Joe Ellsworth III of (un-disclosed location), Dan Ellsworth of Accord, NY, Frank Banks of Stone Ridge, NY, Margo ("Maggie") Banks of West Palm Beach, FL, as well as Three Grand Children, Dani Strubel - Banks of Manhattan, NY, Savanna Rose Ellsworth of Stone Ridge, NY, Xavier Henry Banks of Verbank and Stone Ridge, NY, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and significant others.
Final arrangements are being made by her children through H. B. Humiston Funeral Home Kerhonkson, NY
