To the Fischer Family - Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your brother Charlie......will miss the conversations with him. Won't be able to make the funeral today as we just returned from Canada and are on our way to Pittsburgh, PA. Will be making a donation to the DAV in his memory in lieu of flowers. Upon our return from PA will contact you John.

Dear dad,

In this sad time try to remember the smile you and Loretta put on Uncle Charlie's face every Sunday you visited him in the hospital. You made his days brighter by just being there and helping him out. Playing games with him, making him meals and doing whatever you could to make his life less painful.

Charlie's life was forever changed by Vietnam and no one can ever know the pain or anguish he felt from having lived through some of the most terrifying events in our history. Charlie was a hero and thus should be celebrated as such.

He is in a better place now. Forever surrounded by angels and finally at peace and resting comfortably.

I love you and send my thoughts and condolences and hope that you find some peace yourself in this trying time.

All my love always,
Steph xoxo

I ONLY HAVE THE BEST MEMORIES OF CHARLIE AND THE GOOD TIMES WE HAD AT TRACTOR PULLS AND BLUEGRASS FESTIVALS. ALL THE TIMES WHEN HE LAYED CARPET FOR US AND IT HAD TO BE PERFECT, CHARLIE HAD ALOT OF PRIDE IN EVERYTHING HE DID. CHARLIE WAS A CHARACTER BUT ALWAYS WAS HONEST AND IF YOU ASKED HIM FOR A FAVOR HE WAS RIGHT THERE. CHARLIE LOVED HIS DOGS AND THEY HAD THE BEST OF CARE,SO THIS IN ITSELF SHOWS  WHAT KIND OF PERSON HE WAS. HE IS SOMEONE I WILL MISS TALKING TO AND I GREATLY RESPECTED HIM. WHEREVER HE IS I KNOW HE IS AT PEACE AND IN GODS HANDS.
