Cheryl A. Williams

Cheryl A. Williams of Saugerties, NY, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the comfort of her home. She was 67 years old. Cheryl was born on April 22, 1948 in Ellenville, NY; the daughter of the late John and Philomenia (Schoonmaker) Beesimer.

Cheryl was a former member of the Wawarsing Fire Co. where she not only was one of the first female firefighters, but also served as vice president. She was also a former member of the Federated Church of Kerhonkson. Cheryl had a desire to help others which led her into the health care field. She was currently working as a Home Health Aid for Willcare.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Sheryl Herbst of Glenville, Loretta Myer and her husband Danny and Harold Williams all of Saugerties. Her brother, Thomas Beesimer and sisters, Malvina Haskett, Doris Decker and Linda Tessler. Her grandchildren, Aaron, Olivia and Caiden Williams, Christina Franza, Kassondra Herbst and Alexis Myer. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Cheryl was predeceased by her husband, Harold D. Williams Sr.; brothers, John, Douglas and Roger and her sisters, Diane, Vivian and Janet.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30th from 4-6pm with a celebration of her life beginning at 5:30 at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd Street, Kerhonkson.
