Daria Elaine Baracca of Accord passed away at home on October 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 75 years old.

Daria was born on February 25th, 1950 to Lawerence and Catherine Burg in Cold Spring, N.Y. In 1968 she met and married James E. Baracca with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. She grew up in Fishkill N.Y. and resided in the Hudson Valley for most of her life where she and Jim raised their 3 children.

Daria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved angels and cherubs. She also enjoyed the hobby of crafting and spending time with her grandchildren. Daria was previously employed by the Mohonk Mountain House as a reservation specialist for 23 years. Here she met her dearest friend Maria Schneider (Fifi) with whom she shared a very special bond.

Daria is survived by her husband James E. Baracca; three sons, Jordan (Staci Olson), Jeremy (Susan Gentile) and Damian; 6 grandchildren, Cheyanne Van Fossen, Jade Barringer, Michael Baracca, Alex Sanderson, Justin Baracca, Kaylee Baracca; and 4 great grandchildren; brother, Steven Burg; Sister, Linda (John) Taylor; and Sister-in-law Beverly (Banks) Place. She is also survived by her devoted friend, Maria Schneider.

She was predeceased by her mother, Catherine and her father, Lawrence.

Daria will be deeply missed by her husband Jim, her children, grandchildren, friends, and her furry friend Apollo.

Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
