Deidre Anne O’Halloran of Roslindale, MA formerly of Kerhonkson, NY died on November 20, 2014. She was 55 years old. Born on January 21, 1959 in Hollywood, FL to Patricia J. (Campbell) O’Halloran and the late Robert W. O’Halloran.
Deidre graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in 1977. She attended Boston University on a full athletic scholarship for playing tennis and was a Top Ranked Collegiate Athlete. She graduated in 1981 with a Bachelors Degree and furthered her education to earn a Masters Degree. Following college Deidre remained in the Boston area and was currently employed by the Boston Arts Academy as Director of Student Activities. She loved showcasing the students’ talents at the Boston events. Prior to this she had worked for Fenway High School and University of Mass. at Burke High School. Deidre enjoyed her annual European trips with her mom.
In addition to her mother, Deidre is survived by her sister, Deborah Tarantino of Bell, FL; her brothers, Robert W. O’Halloran Jr. of Kerhonkson, NY, Stephan O’Halloran and his wife Denise of Middletown, NY, David O’Halloran and his wife Donna of Kerhonkson, NY and Scott C. O’Halloran of Statesville, NC.
Deidre was predeceased by her brother Gregory J. O’Halloran.
Visiting will be held on Tuesday, November 25th from 4-7pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd Street, Kerhonkson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kerhonkson. Burial will follow in Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Deidre O’Halloran Scholarship Fund, Boston Arts Academy, 174 Ipswich Street, Boston MA 02215.
