It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Donald Lee DeGraw on April 16, 2026 at age 84. He was born August 18, 1941, in Kingston, New York. Donald graduated from Kingston High School in 1961. He started working immediately following graduation. Eventually settling into his career with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

After retirement, he owned and operated Don Degraw’s Lawn Care up until a few years prior to his passing.

He is predeceased by his father, Floyd S. DeGraw; mother, Bernice VanAken-DeGraw; his dear brother, William Floyd DeGraw; Bills wife, Maria Degraw; and Don’s beloved Chocolate Labrador, Gertie, with whom he will be interred.

He is survived by his sons, Randy DeGraw and his wife, Jennifer; granddaughter, Abigail and David DeGraw, his partner; Stacy; and grandsons, Jordan and Noah; sister, Jeanne Waruch and her husband, Dennis; nephew, Jonathan and his wife Jennifer; nieces, Rebecca Cole and her husband James, and Carolena Degraw.

He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Robin Baker-Stamberg; step grandchildren, Talia, Savannah, Jackson, and Hayden; and stepson, Scott Kuster. He also leaves many dear and lifelong friends.

Don was a lifelong outdoorsman and gifted hunter. He was a gentleman‘s farmer and avid dog lover. He was also known as a very “lucky” man who always won raffles and loved lottery tickets. Don was a well-loved and benevolent man. He would help anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will take place at Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd Street, Kerhonkson, NY 12446 on Tuesday, April 21 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Interment will take place at Benton Bar Cemetery, 2591 Lucas Turnpike, High Falls, NY 12440 on Wednesday, April 22nd, beginning at 10:30 AM.
