Donald Lennon

April 12, 1950 — January 11, 2013

Donald Eugene Lennon of Napanoch, NY died Friday, January 11, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 62 years old. Donald was born in Ellenville, NY on April 12, 1950; he was the son of Florence (Avery) and the late Gilbert T. Lennon.

Mr. Lennon had worked as a Corrections Officer for Eastern Correctional Facility for 17 years. Most recently he was a driver for Napa Auto Parts. Donald was a Cycling Enthusiast who over a 5 year period raised $5000 for the American Cancer Society. He was also a huge supporter of POW/MIA. Donald participated in the Corrections and Law Olympics and enjoyed nature and being outdoors. He was known to go "off the beaten path", barely ever following an existing trail.

Besides his mother Florence, Donald is survived by his children, Jeremy Lennon of Highland, Jolene Ritter and her husband Thomas of Kingston and Donovan Lennon of Ellenville. His brothers, Gilbert Lennon Jr. of Accord, David Lennon and his wife Robin of Tuson, AZ, Daniel Lennon and his wife Valetta of Napanoch. His sisters, Patricia Gossellin and her husband Dennis of Walland, TN, Katie Lennon and her fiance Vaughn Cannon of Sweetwater, TN and Meredith Pomery and her husband James of Napanoch, and his grandchildren, Eryk and Mia.

Donald was predeceased by his brothers James and Jeffrey.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 6-9pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson.
