Donald V. Rivenburg

Donald V. Rivenburg of Accord, NY, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 in Ellenville Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was 79 years old. Mr. Rivenburg was born on July 5, 1933 in Horton, he was the son of the late William and Edna (Morgan) Rivenburg.
Mr. Rivenburg served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Vogelgesang battle ship during the Korean War. Donald retired from Kosco Oil in Kingston after working for many years as a service technician. He was a member of the Kerhonkson VFW Post 8959 and the Stone Ridge American Legion Post 1512.
Mr. Rivenburg is survived by his wife Florence Rivenburg of Accord. His sisters, Evelyn Lee of Accord and Constance Strobeck of Middleburg. His brother, Ralph Rivenburg of Ellenville and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Donald was predeceased by his brother James Rivenburg and his sisters, Mary Rivenburg and Esther Lee.
Funeral services are under the guidance of HB Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson and will be private and at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Donald's name to the Ellenville Regional Hospital, 10 Healthy Way, Ellenville, NY 12428.
