Douglas North Jr, 62, of Accord, NY, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on March 20, 1964 in Kingston, NY, Doug lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to his family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found his greatest joy in hunting and fishing, spending countless hours in the woods, on the water, and sharing stories of his adventures with family and friends. Whether casting a line at sunrise or sitting in a tree stand before dawn, he felt most at home in nature.

Above all else, Doug was a devoted father, Papa, brother, and friend. He cherished time spent with his family and created memories that will be treasured for generations. His love, guidance, and steady presence were gifts to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Louise Simpson; his children: Samantha Martire (Miguel) and Douglas North (Samantha); his grandchildren: Brooke, Miguel, Aubriella, and Cameron; his siblings: Donald, Dawna, Philip, Debbie, Travis, and William; his step-mom, Cindy Owens (Bill); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Douglas North, Sr.

Though he has left this world, the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
