Edward M. Miller

Edward M. Miller, a lifelong Kerhonkson resident, was called home on Friday, September 18, 2015. He was 60 years old. Edward was born on January 4, 1955 and was the son of the late Roy and Kathryn (Avery) Miller Sr.

Ed was a 44 year member of the Accord Fire Department and was currently a Life Member and Chief of the Accord Fire District. Ed’s life was fire service and everyone in the entire district knew they were his “family”. Ed was an avid sportsman and currently a board member of the Rondout Valley Rod & Gun Club. For many years he worked as a machinist with Otto Tech Machine Co. in High Falls, NY.

Ed is survived by Patricia Phillips, his loving companion of 37 years. Three stepsons; Roy, Thomas and Robert, and two stepdaughters; Brenda and Maggie Sanford. Three sisters; Elaine Irwin of Accord, Lisa Miller of Kerhonkson, Edna Plumstead (Steve) of Accord and one brother, Roy Miller, Jr. of Ellenville. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 21st from 4-8PM at Skate Time 209, 5164 Route 209, Accord, NY. Firematic Services will begin at 8PM that evening. On Tuesday the 22nd the funeral procession will line up at 11am for Ed’s “final ride” and graveside services and burial will be in Palentown Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
