Eleanor D. Subeh of Ellenville, NY, left this world peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. She was 88 years old. Eleanor was born on September 16, 1932 and raised in Jersey City, NJ; she was the daughter of the late Louis and Augusta (Ott) Noble and she was the youngest of 3 children.
Eleanor graduated from Dickinson High School. She was a retired teacher’s assistant at the Rondout Valley School where she was loved by all. For her entire life, she was known to wear outfits, not just clothing and always was dressed to the nines. The joke was she was born in heels and her hair color changed constantly. Eleanor enjoyed playing BINGO and was a huge animal lover and supported many charities to support their cause for help. She was a social butterfly and made friends everywhere she went. Her best and most appreciated role was as a mother to her 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Jeffrey Subeh and his wife Jodi of Kerhonkson, Minwer ‘Butch’ Subeh and his wife Audrey of Yankee Lake, and Sharifa Subeh of Verona, NJ; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr, Sierra and Derek Subeh and Jasmine and Grace Traficante.
Eleanor was predeceased by her brother Walter Noble, and sister Dorothy Dalesso.
Visiting will be held on Monday, December 14th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson. Funeral services are scheduled for 10am on Tuesday the 15th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
