Guestbook

Mary Bailey Lichfield England
I am the widow of Leslie Bailey, Edith,s cousin. Edith,s mother died in childbirth in England. Consequently Edith was brought up by her grandparents the Rev. And Mrs Fred Jeffs, a Methodist minister. Later they all lived with Les,s mother, so Edith and Les grew up as brother and sister.
Les and I visited Edith several times in Kerhonkson, both when was alive and after his death. The link between Edith and Les was precious to them both until Les became I'll. Seven years ago.
Happy Memories.

Edith was my father's cousin (Frederick Leslie Bailey 1931 - 2011). I didn't really get to meet her until my early twenties when I visited her and Burton (whom she was utterly devoted to) in 1987. I just thought she was great and delighted when she came to the UK after Burton passed away. In 2004, my Dad and Mum came with me to see her; it was very touching watching Dad and Edith part as they both knew they would never see each other again.
God bless you Edith
