Elizabeth Mae Stevens

June 29, 1946 — January 3, 2017

Elizabeth Mae Stevens of Ellenville, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Kingston Hospital. She was 70 years old. Elizabeth was born on June 29, 1946 in the Kingston, NY; she was the daughter of the late Louis and Gladys C.  (Smith) Bodie.

 

Elizabeth graduated from Rondout Valley High School. In her younger days she was a Girl Scout Leader in Accord, who really took pride in her troop.

 

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Dawn Schaffner of Walden, NY and Kimberly LaQuire of Selkirk, NY; her sisters, Rose Greene of Ellenville, NY, Barbara Allegrante of Salt Point, NY, and Sarah Quiles of Brandon, FL; her brothers, Louis Bodie of Lakeland, FL, and Clifford Wicks of Accord, NY. She was also blessed to have five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

 

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Vernon Stevens and daughter Dina Stevens.

 

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 10-11 am with a celebration of her life beginning 11am at Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
