Emily E. Romano of Kerhonkson, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Ellenville Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 74 years old. Emily was born on December 15, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY; she was the daughter of the late William and Emily Meerbott.
Emily was an extremely hard worker and had retired from Rotron in Woodstock after many dedicated years of service. She enjoyed traveling, snowmobiling, playing Bingo and gambling. She was also a huge Elvis fan. Emily was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caregiver and will be sorely missed.
Emily is survived by her long time companion and friend Bernard Addis of Kerhonkson, her children Laura, Kathleen, Joseph, John and Michael Romano and Debra Illum, her step-children Royal Addis and Karen Baker Addis, her brother William Meerbott, 21 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Emily was predeceased by her sister Rosemary Kossman.
A Graveside Service and Inurnment will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 1pm at Pine Bush Cemetery.
