Ethel "Boots" Fisher

Ethel “Boots” Fisher of New York City, formerly Kerhonkson, NY, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. She was 92 years old. Ethel was born on July 28, 1921 in Kerhonkson; she was the daughter of Lewis and Fannie (Miller) Fisher.

Ethel grew up in a large family being one of ten children. She attended Kerhonkson High School and graduated in 1940. Ethel moved to New York City and began her career working as a Flight Attendant for several airlines including Pan Am, National and Delta until her retirement in 1991.

She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Ethel was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Sax, Nettie Fisher Kazinetz, Rose, Lillian and Sylvia Fisher and her brothers, Frederick, Bill, Aaron and Sam Fisher.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 28th at 1pm at the Kerhonkson Synagogue Cemetery, Boice Mill Rd., Kerhonkson.
