Gail O'Reilly

Gail O’Reilly of Stone Ridge, NY passed away peacefully Friday, August 21, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Born August 20, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, Gail was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Shea) Rogers of Stone Ridge.

Gail is survived by her devoted sons John and Gary O’Reilly, her sister Patricia Boffardi and husband Bennett, and her nephew Steven Boffardi. She was predeceased by her son Michael O’Reilly, and her spouse Thomas Schneider.

Gail was a Legal Secretary in NYC before moving to Stone Ridge to raise her family. For many years she worked as a waitress at the Hillside Restaurant in Accord and later as a Teacher’s Aide for special needs students in the Rondout Valley School District. Gail also enjoyed cooking, was an enthusiastic gardener and was an avid NY METS fan.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 10am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Rosendale, NY. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson, NY.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gail’s name to an animal shelter of one’s choice and/or to the Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
