Gisela Volz

Gisela Volz of Kerhonkson, NY passed away at her home on November 29, 2020. She was 86 years old. Gisela was born on September 8, 1934 in Dresden, Germany; she was the daughter of the late Martine and Anneliese (Hoppner) Uhlig.

Gisela had worked as a teacher while living in Germany. In 1957 she emigrated to the United States and married Walter Volz in Jamaica, NY.

She is survived by her daughter, Janette C. Volz; son-in-law, Mustafa Cinar; sister, Gerlinda Uhlig; brother, Hartmut Uhlig; sister-in-law, Ilse Uhlig as well as a niece, a nephew and their children.

In addition to her parents, Gisela was predeceased by her husband Walter.

Cremation will be private. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
