Glenda E. Snyder

Glenda E. Snyder a three year breast cancer survivor, of Accord, NY, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Albany Medical Center. She was 61. Glenda was born on June 18, 1946 in Glen Cove, NY, the daughter of Dorothy (Fitzpatrick) and the late Glenn Barnes.

On May 30, 1969 Glenda married Investigator Richard B. Snyder in Glen Cove. He died in the line of duty in 1984.

Mrs. Snyder had worked for Jamesway and OTB in Ellenville for many years. She was a member of C.O.P.S,  F.O.P.S and the NYS Trooper Foundation. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister and grandmother.

Glenda is survived by her mother Dorothy of  Glen Cove, her daughters; Dawn and Debra Snyder and her son- in- law Anthony Jarvis, Jr. all of Accord, her sisters; Barbara Barnes, Leslie Brussel and Patsy Barnes, her grandchildren; Martina, Austtin and Christofer Jarvis, aunts, uncles, three nieces and one nephew.

Visiting will be held on Saturday May 17th and Sunday May 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at HB Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A celebration of her life is scheduled for Monday, May 19th at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville.
