He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years Inez Rothberg Keator. He is survived by his daughter Mary and son-in-law Jerry VanSteenburg, and his loving partner Evelyn Yerkes and her sons Renaldo, John, Jerry, Shawn and daughter Ronnett. Also surviving are his Aunt Betty Rose of Belleview, FL, several nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved pets Jake, Sam, Boogie and Gracie.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, April 12th from 5-8pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A service will be Saturday the 13th at 10:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.

Mary and Jerry I am so very sorry to hear about your loss.  My prayers are with you both.  Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.

Mary and Jerry,

I am very sorry for the sudden loss of your father.  I guess without night we would never know what the light of day is.  The amount of pain you feel today is only there because of the tremendous love I'm sure you had for your father and your father for you.  Unfortunately the emotions come in pairs.

Be comforted in the promise of God, everlasting life with him.  Joyfully celebrate your Dad's life through your life as a tribute to him.  I can tell what kind of person your Dad was because I see the grace in you.

When the time is right for you replace the grief of today with the loving memories of yesterday and God's peace that one day you will see your Dad again in heaven.

God Bless you, Jerry and your family.
