On learning of the passing of Herbert Gahn, The Hillside Acres Garden Club would like to extend our condolences to his beloved wife Joan and all the members of his loving, extended family. Joan was our Treasurer for nine years and always brought Herb and his camera on our many outings and excursions. Their lifetime love and commitment to each other was very apparent to all of us.

Peggy Almquist, President along with all the club members.

Herb was a quiet, loving, talented man. His marriage was a love story as told to me by Joan, his wife. My last memory of them together was their holding hands while looking down at the Hudson River from a bank at the FDR Home. We Garden Club members standing behind them thought it was beautiful.

My heart goes out to Joan and all of you as Herb is a great loss. However he had a beautiful life.
