James N. Allen

James N. Allen of Kingston, NY died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 51. James was born on May 21, 1956 in Kingston, the son of the late James R. and Frances (Irwin) Allen.

Mr. Allen had worked as a laborer for the Ulster County Highway Department. He served as an Army Reservist for four years. After his honorable discharge he worked as a taxi cab driver for various companies in Kingston. James was a member of the Town of Ulster American Legion Post 1748 and a Past Master of the Ulster Grange. He loved going to antique cars shows where he always had one of his own classics entered.

Mr. Allen is survived by his brothers Charles of Kerhonkson, Gail of Indiana, Robert of Sawkill and Richard of Hurley and his sister Susan of Kingston. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 23rd  at 4:30pm at Wiltwyck Cemetery in Kingston. Arrangements are under the direction of HB Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St. Kerhonkson, NY 12446. 845-626-3331
