James G. Conklin of Kerhonkson, NY died on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 72 years old. James was born on August 5, 1939 in Roxbury, NY the son of Walter and Nellie (Vandermark) Conklin.
On October 17, 1965 James had married Alice Miller at the Ellenville Methodist Church.
James was a real outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish and go camping. He had worked in the cast house at the VAW in Ellenville for over forty years.
James is survived by his loving wife, Alice and his children; James J. Conklin and his wife Christine of Kerhonkson, David Conklin of High Falls, Richard Conklin and his wife Gwen of Kingston, Linda Conklin of High Falls and Walter Conklin and his wife Danielle of Eddyville. His grandchildren; James, Jessica, Brandon, Amanda, Richard Jr., and Jordan Conklin and Kameryn Stanley. His sister, Lena Dumond of Liberty and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd from 6-8pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday the 3rd at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery.
