Conklin
Feb 22, 1958 — Jun 24, 2026
Kerhonkson
James (Jimmy) Conklin of Kerhonkson passed unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. He was 68 years old.
Jimmy grew up in Warwick, NY and worked many years for Laroe Sawmill in Sugarloaf. Jimmy later moved to the Ellenville area where he worked as a Supervisor for Schrade Cutlery. Jimmy was currently working for Ecobat Resources (RSR) in Middletown NY as an Environmental Technician and Chief Shop Steward. He was always a dedicated and committed hard worker for all the companies he worked for.
He loved to be outdoors mowing the grass, taking care of the gardens and painting the lawn ornaments with Rylie. He was an avid Yankee fan who spent many days attending sport shows and collecting baseball memorabilia with his uncle and nephews, especially anything to do with Mickey Mantle.
He was a cherished son, brother, uncle, companion, friend, and neighbor whose kindness and strength touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and will be forever remembered.
Jimmy is survived by his fiancé and life partner, Lori Ardizzone; daughter, Shelby; and granddaughter Rylie; his brothers: Donald, Daniel, Carl (and companion Tania); his sisters: Shirley; and Gail (and husband, John); niece and nephews: Robert, Joseph, John and Kayla; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his extended loving family: John Schoonmaker, Gretchen, Pamela, Abigail, Emerson, William Ardizzone and Dianne Joyce.
He was blessed to have had the opportunity to raise Shelby and Granddaughter Rylie along with Lori. He enjoyed spending time with his good friend Bob, and fur babies: Sophia, Callie, and Lily.
He was predeceased by his mother, Jean Polhemus (Conklin); step father, Carlton Polhemus; and mother-in-law, Patricia Schoonmaker.
