James Charles Kelly

James Charles Kelly of Kerhonkson, NY, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at his home. He was 48 years old. Mr. Kelly was born on April 23, 1962 in West Point, NY, the son of Margaret M. (Cooper) Deeds and the late James Wm. Kelly

Mr. Kelly had enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1981. He was employed by Shoprite in Ellenville and had worked in the produce department. James was a parishioner of Christ the King Episcopal Church in Stone Ridge. He was an avid football and Yankees fan and he loved animals.

In addition to his mom, Margaret of Newburgh, NY James is survived by his companion Juliette Graham-Hayes of Kerhonkson, his daughter Keren-Sarai Kelly of Arkansas, his sister Jennifer J.  Prystowski of Middletown, his brothers Steven M. Kelly of Newburgh and Jeffrey A. Kelly of Louisiana and his niece Emily Prystowski.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 9th from 12- 2pm at Christ the King Episcopal Church. A Mass will follow at 2pm with a reception directly after. James’ ashes will be placed in the garden columbarium at the church in the spring.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in James’ name to the Rondout Valley Food Pantry and/or ASPCA.
