Jaroslaw Mytrofaniuk

Jaroslaw Mytrofaniuk of Kerhonkson, NY, died June 3, 2013, at Westchester Medical Center. Jerry was born in Ukraine on August 15, 1928, to the late Sawa and Alexandra (Domalewsky) Mytrofaniuk (Markowsky) and was the brother of the late Bohdan Mytrofaniuk.

He became a U.S. citizen and proudly served his country in the United States Army, enlisting in 1949 and receiving his honorable discharge in 1953, and lived in Kerhonkson for 45 years.

He is survived by his daughters Anna and Chrystyna, his grandsons Lucian and Garrett, and his nephews Orest and Taras. He was predeceased by his wife Halyna and his daughter Nina.

The visitation will be held on Friday, June 7^th from 7-9pm at HB Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42^nd Street, Kerhonkson. The panakhyda  will begin at 8pm that evening. A Funeral Serviceis scheduled for Saturday at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by burial at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
