Jean L. Dunn, age 87, of Dunn Farm Road, Kerhonkson, NY, died on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Born on April 17, 1930 in Napanoch, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Nellie (Smith) O’Neal.
 

Jean had married Herman “Stubby” Dunn and together they had the family dairy farm in Kerhonkson for many years. Stubby had died in 2003. Jean was a community oriented individual. Being civically minded she was always involved with local organizations. She was a charter member of the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad, she was a member of the Accord Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was involved with the Rondout Valley Little League. Jean was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to the flowerbeds, and let’s not forget how much she loved her birds. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

 

Jean is survived by her children; Catherine Dunn of Danville, PA, Marcus Dunn of Kerhonkson, Debbie Berryann and her husband Charles of Kerhonkson, Howard Dunn of Bethany, CT, and Frank Dunn and his husband Hans Lupold of Hurley. Her grandchildren; Susan Fuller, Amanda Dunn, Kelsey Berryann, Jacob Berryann, Matthew Dunn and Lucas Dunn. Her great grandchildren, Savanna, Benjamin and Maggie. Besides Herman, her husband of 53 years, Jean was predeceased by her son Matthew Dunn.

 

Funeral services for Jean were held privately and at the discretion of her family.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jean’s name to the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad, PO Box 67, Kerhonkson, New York 12446 and/or to the charity of your choice.
