Jeanne and I taught together in the Middle School. We always takled about how much we had in common. Beginning with our first names being spelled the same way it continued on: we were each born on June 5th, each loved teaching, each married an attorney, each had a father who died on the same day of the year. That always seemed like too much of a coincedence. I have been to the Lucas Ave home for visits and parties. I have admired your mother's performance in the faculty plays. I especially remember the racetrack scene with all the beautiful ladies across the stage in their black and white dresses and large picture hats. I did not know that your mother had a theatre background but it sure did show. There is hope to revive the faculty plays but it must be in the hearts of the younger staff members who have never seen the wonderful productions that we Rondout teachers put on. I will miss your Mom. I am sorry not to be able to be there at the rememberance service but I already had ticket for the teacher's retirement dinnerheld the same evening. I will keep your family in my prayers that you will not remain sad for long but rejoice in the smiles that your Mom brings to mind. With Love, Jeanne HUnt

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Jeanne in the Rondout golf league and always loved playing golf with her and sharing a meal afterwards. She always made me laugh .She was a great lady.

My very deepest sympathies to Jeanne's family. She was a wonderful person, full of joie de vivre! I have many fond memories of Jeanne when I worked at RVMS many years ago. She was truly an inspiration to so many people. She would want to be remembered as the happy, free spirit she was! Trudi Melamed

Our family was so sorry to hear of the passing of such a dynamic mother and grandmother. We will remember her grace and beauty... even while boating past the Chimney Bluffs, wisps of hair and bonnet held tight, last summer. Jule, Mike, John and Uma... sending you and your entire family lots of love during this sad time.
