Jeffrey Burton Decker, Sr., 68, of Kerhonkson, NY, passed away on March 24, 2026.

Jeffrey was a man who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved the outdoors—camping under the stars, firing up the grill for family gatherings, riding his motorcycle, and listening to his favorite music. He was a loyal Yankees fan, but nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his family. His greatest role in life was being “Poppy,” a title he carried with pride and endless love.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Helene; his children, Jeromy Decker and his partner Jennifer, and Jeffrey Decker, Jr. and his wife Barbara Mulkowsky-Decker; and his adored grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pedersen, Brooke Mulkowsky, Kyleigh Decker, Arianna Decker, Tyler Decker, and Jordan Decker. He also leaves behind his stepmother, Joan Lee Decker; his siblings, Terry Decker (Cindy), Kim Decker (Martha), Barry Decker, Cindy Potvin, and Scott Wallace; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who meant so much to him; and his beloved companion, his fur-baby Chase.

A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held on May 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at 51 Brooks Drive in Kerhonkson.

Jeffrey will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
