Kathryn Elizabeth Miller

June 30, 1930 — November 16, 2010

Kathryn E. Miller, “Kay”, a longtime resident of Kerhonkson, NY, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility. She was 80 years old. Kathryn was born on June 30, 1930 in Salt Rising, NY. She was the daughter of the late Merrill and Bethel (Brown) Avery.


Kathryn was a Charter member of the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad, a lifetime member of Rochester #2 ladies auxiliary, A Member of the Town of Rochester Senior Citizens and a faithful parishioner of the Kerhonkson Federated Church. Kathryn enjoyed  knitting, crocheting and baking.


On September 20, 1952 Kathryn married Roy E. Miller in Ellenville. Roy passed away in 2000.


Kathryn is survived by her children; Elaine Irwin of Accord, Ed Miller and his wife Pat of Kerhonkson, Lisa Miller of Kerhonkson, Edna Plumstead and her husband Steve of Accord and Roy Miller, Jr. and his wife Toni of Kerhonkson, her sisters; Elberta Baker of Windsor, NY and Lois Wigden of Penn Yan, NY, six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.


Kathryn was predeceased by her stepmother Tillie Johnson, four sisters and two brothers.


Visiting will be held on Friday, November 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at H .B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St. Kerhonkson. A Celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, November 20th at 11 AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
