Leon Decker

Leon Decker of Kerhonkson, NY passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013. He was 85 years old. Leon was born on July 24, 1927 in Rochester, NY; he was the son of Daniel and Grace (Forman) Decker.

Leon was a carpenter and all around handyman. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Decker is survived by his wife Joan, his children Roy, Terry and his wife Cynthia, Kim and his companion Martha, Jeffrey and his wife Helene, Barry and Cindy Potvin and her husband Steven, his brothers Irving, Donald and Douglas, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several stepchildren, nieces and nephews.

Leon was predeceased by his sisters Janet, Mildred, Frances and Rae and his brothers Burton, Pete, Perley, Roy and Arthur.

A graveside service with ashes burial will take place on Tuesday, July 9th at 11am at Pine Bush Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Leon’s name to the American Heart Association.
