Linda Jane Roosa

Linda Jane Roosa, 62, of Kerhonkson, NY died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Linda was born on August 10, 1950 in Ellenville, NY the daughter of the late Charlie and Hazel (Krom) Artist.

Linda enjoyed gambling and playing bingo. She liked baking all kinds of things and above all she was a family person. Linda was in her element when she was surrounded by her family and she will be deeply missed.

Linda is survived by her husband, Bill Roosa. Her children; Melinda Hart and her husband Brent of Virginia, Rosa VanNostrand and her husband Michael of Kerhonkson, and Dennis Roosa of Indiana. Her grandchildren; Joshua Helmich, Amber VanNostrand, Aaron Roosa, Kayla VanNostrand, Matthew Hart and Phillip Hart. Her brothers and sisters; Justine Redding, Howard Artist, Charlie Artist, Tommy Artist, Joany Artist, Franky Artist, Art Artist and George Artist, and many nieces and nephews. And dogs; Furby, Frisbee and Boomer, “her babies”. Linda was predeceased by her sisters; Ruth Ann Bell, Virginia Sorrows and Beatrice Coppersmith.

Memorial visiting will be held on Saturday, July 20^th from 10-12pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42^nd St., Kerhonkson. A celebration of her life will follow the visitation at 12pm at the funeral home.
