Lucy Kump

Lucy Kump of Kerhonkson, NY passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Kingston Hospital. She was 83 years old. Lucy was born on March 23, 1934 in Hettstadt, Germany; she was the daughter of Joseph and Rosalia Loeser.

Lucy immigrated to the United States at a young age. She worked as a nanny for several families in Hillside, NY. She married Rudolf Kump on October 12, 1957. They lived in Ridgewood and Glendale and eventually settled in Kerhonkson where they raised their family. Lucy was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Kerhonkson and for many years she belonged to a bowling league in Ellenville.

Lucy is survived by her loving husband Rudolf; their children, Maryann Krum of Kerhonkson and Richard Kump and his wife Laura of Belchertown, MA; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Krum and Alexander and Hannah Kump and four great grandchildren, Jade, Michael, Anthony and Zachary.

Visiting will be held on Sunday, September 10th from 4-7pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kerhonkson. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
