Lucy Waskiw

Lucy Waskiw of Wawarsing, NY, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Kingston Hospital. She was 75. Lucy was born on February 4, 1933 in Ukraine the daughter of Jozef and Anna Seidel.

Mrs. Waskiw had worked as a Chambermaid for the Nevele Grande in Ellenville for many years. She enjoyed crocheting.

Lucy is survived by her grandchildren: Patricia Hupalo of Grahamsville and Richard Hupalo of Wawarsing and her daughter Kathy Waskiw of Hallandale, FL. Mrs. Waskiw was predeceased by her husband Nicholas, her daughter Sonia Hupalo and her son Roman Waskiw.

A family statement reads “She was a woman of endless kindness and compassion who always gave more than she received.”

The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, December 7th from 5 to 7 PM at HB Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, December 8th at 11 AM at Fantinekill Cemetery.
