Luella C. Jones

Luella C. Jones, of Wawarsing, NY, passed away on December 8, 2017 at the age of 63. Luella was born on August 16, 1954 in Ellenville, NY; she was the daughter of Thomas and Barbara (Eck) Carpenter.

Luella was an area resident for most of her life. On June 14, 1986 she had married Steven Jones and together raised their family in Wawarsing. For many years Luella had worked as a chambermaid at the Tamarack Resort and more recently was a bus monitor with Rolling V Bus Corp. Luella had a deep love for animals and especially loved her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Steven and two children; Chip Lezer and his wife Stephanie of Kerhonkson, and Brittany Parken and her husband Joseph of Wawarsing. Grandson Aiden Lezer, Jessica Ficsor who was like a daughter to her and her loving dogs; Angel and Destiny. Luella is also survived by her mother Barbara Carpenter, her brother Thomas Carpenter (Debbie), and her sisters; Cindy Jones (Ricky), Darlene Ficsor (Frank) and Gail Yerkes.

Visiting will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 2-6PM at Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson.
