Mary Elsa Wilber

Mary Elsa Wilber, born on December 8, 1913 on her families farm in Stone Ridge; the daughter of Arthur L. and Harriet A. (Riley) Van Aken, passed away peacefully on Monday September 1, 2014 at the same home she was born, raised and lived her entire life in, at 100 years of age.

She is survived by her son, Kenworthy R. Kauffman of Stone Ridge; her sister Eunice Weeks of Kingston and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elsa was predeceased by her husband Samuel G. Wilber and her brothers Edward, Albert and Ralph Van Aken.

Visiting will be held on Friday, September 5th from 2-4 & 6-8pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A celebration of Elsa’s life will be on Saturday the 6th at 10am at the Marbletown Reformed Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
