Michael D. Golia

MICHAEL GOLIA left us on Monday Nov. 28th, 2011 in a quiet and peaceful moment. He was a kind, warm, passionate, and humorous man who was loved and highly respected by all who came in contact with him throughout his life. He was always very straight forward and honest, and willing to help anyone and everyone no matter what the need. He worked for 40 years in the elevator business and was greatly respected by all the people he worked with over the years and also those men and women that were working for him when he retired from his position as mechanics supervisor in Poughkeepsie, New York for Otis Elevators. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Zenovia, and his sons Michael, Tommy, Bohdan, Erik, and daughter Cathy, and by his grandchildren Dannielle, Nicholas, Elizabeth, and Cathy. A memorial service will be held at H. B. Humiston Funeral Home in Kerhonkson, New York on Friday Dec. 10th, 2011 at 12:00 noon to be followed by a funeral at the Pine Bush Cemetery in Kerhonkson on Rt.209.
