Nathaniel Swartz of West Palm Beach, Fl and formerly Kerhonkson, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 96 years old. Nathaniel was born on December 1, 1914 in New York City; the son of Miriam and Max Swartz.

Mr. Swartz owned and operated Mastercraft Sales-Aid Corp. in Yonkers for 32 years. He was a former member of the Kerhonkson Synagogue, Past Chairman and Trustee of the Kerhonkson Synagogue Cemetery and the Past District Manager for the Boy Scouts of America in Manhattan. This past June he and his wife Gladys celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary, a true milestone, with their family and friends.

In addition to his wife Gladys, Nathaniel is survived by their children; Barbara Burrell, Sheila Still and Steven Swartz all of CA and Gerald Swartz of Bloomingburgh, NY, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice of West Palm Beach for their continued care and support.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 26th at 2 PM at the Kerhonkson Synagogue Cemetery, Boice Mill, Rd, Kerhonkson. Immediately following his burial Shiva will held at the home of Jessica Redner in Middletown, NY.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Nathaniel's name to a charity of one's choice.
