It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Nina Dudar (Dyshluk) of Kerhonkson, NY, on May 6, 2025. She passed away peacefully at the age of 90, with the love of her two sons, family and friends surrounding her.
Nina was born in Bershty, Belarus, to parents Stefania Szyshka and Ivan Dyshluk. She is survived by her two sons: Alexander Dudar (Amy) of Salt Lake City, Utah, and George Dudar (Jerri) of New Paltz, NY; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her sister, Vera Zamorsky; and other relatives.
Nina will forever be remembered as a radiant spirit who brought joy and warmth to everyone around her. With her sparkling blue eyes, infectious smile, playful nature, and deep compassion, she had a gift for brightening the lives of those she lovingly called “sweetheart.” Her unwavering optimism and steadfast faith in God gave her remarkable resilience—there was no challenge she wouldn’t face head-on.
Together, with her beloved husband Simon Dudar who passed in 2020, Nina shared 67 beautiful years, building a new life in America. They raised two devoted sons and created a legacy of love through the joyful moments spent with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nina found her greatest happiness in her garden and kitchen, firmly believing in the strength and dignity of hard work and the power of her own two hands.
Nina’s laughter, love, and lessons will continue to echo in our family kitchens, blooming gardens, and quiet acts of kindness. Heaven has gained our “sweetheart.” May she find rest with the Angels.
A graveside service will be held at Pine Bush Cemetery on Friday, May 9 at 2PM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Nina's name to Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 211 Foordmore Road, Kerhonkson, NY 12446
