Raffaela Aversano

Raffaela Aversano of Kerhonkson, NY, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 88.  Mrs. Aversano was born on January 4, 1920 in Naples, Italy she was the daughter of Joseph and Chivita (Mazzella) Aversano.

Raffaela was a Communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

On July 2, 1939 Raffaela married Raffaelo Aversano at Our Lady of Pity Church in NYC. Mr. Aversano died in 1985. Raffaela was also predeceased by her sisters Mary and Flora Aversano.

Mrs. Aversano is survived by her daughter Josephine Mazzella and her husband Marty of Hillsborough, NJ, her sons Albert and his wife Diane of Myrtle Beach, SC, Daniel and his wife Ellenjane of Kerhonkson, Mario of Lehigh Acres, FL and Ralph and his wife Debra of Saranac Lake, NY, her sister Rosie Aversano, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and her great-great grandson.
