Robert D. Cosgrove

Robert D. Cosgrove of Kerhonkson, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on December 29, 2023. He was born on June 15, 1944, in New York City.

Raised by his loving parents, Joseph Cosgrove Sr. and Florence (Kuchinsky) Cosgrove, Robert grew up with a strong foundation of values and principles that shaped his character throughout his life.

Robert was married to his beloved wife Sharon (Montanye) Cosgrove, with whom he shared many precious moments. Together, they built a life filled with love and devotion.

Family meant everything to Robert, and he was a dedicated and caring father to his children Valerie Cosgrove and Joseph Montanye. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with them and took great pride in their accomplishments.

He worked diligently as a butcher with NYC Local Union and later ventured into the role of a tow truck driver at Alpha Collision. Robert's success in his chosen professions was a testament to his hard work, determination, and willingness to provide for his family. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting with family and friends.

Robert was a loyal brother, a caring husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his kind heart, genuine smile, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

On Saturday, January 6, 2024, a Visitation will take place at Humiston Funeral Home, located at 30 42nd Street in Kerhonkson, NY. The Visiting will begin at 1:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM to celebrate Robert's life. Friends and family are invited to join together to remember this incredible man.
