Robert A. Walker

Robert A. Walker of Accord, NY, passed away suddenly at his home on October 30, 2014. He was 64 years old. He was born on May 13, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY at Bushwick Hospital to his parents, Alfred and Elfrieda Walker.

Robert was predeceased by his father, Alfred, his grandparents, Arthur and Frieda Winter of Rosendale, NY and Pauline Walker and her husband of Ridgewood, NY.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Susan Blake Post Walker and her family; John J and Jacqueline Post of Accord, NY, Jessica VanGorder of Kingston, NY, Gregory A. and Bettina Post of Kerhonkson, NY and seven beloved grandchildren, Tristan, Evan and Jackson Post, Ava VanGorder, Emma, Abby and Gregory Post. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Elfrieda and Max Miller of Bonita Springs, FL, his sister, Linda Chapman and her husband Steve of Cape Coral, FL, his sister, Diane Francello and her husband Charles of Roxborough Park, CO, his brother, Gary Miller and his wife Jennifer of Chester, NY, his nephews and niece, Paul Chapman of Orlando, FL and his wife Tara and their son, his nephew Christopher Chapman and his wife Laura of Cape Coral, FL and their two sons and his nephew Jackson and niece Olivia of Chester, NY.

Robert had retired this year from the United States Post Office in Woodstock, NY. One of his favorite times was visiting Saratoga and sharing his love of horse racing with his grandchildren.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, November 4^th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42^nd St. Kerhonkson, NY. A celebration of his life is scheduled for Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Whitfield Cemetery.
