Sheila Ann "Freddy" Chavez, age 67, of Washburn, Iowa formerly, Accord, NY, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at her home.
She was born July 14, 1944 in Ellenville, New York, the daughter of Raymond and Nettie (Christiana) Lawrence. Sheila was united in marriage with Ramon Rodriguez on February 25, 1967 in New York State. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Sheila was the office manager for Gewant Ford Sales in Kerhonkson and Vee Motor Sales in Middletown, New York for many years. She moved to Washburn, Iowa in 2000. Sheila was a former member of the Accord Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Maria Rodriguez of Washburn, IA.; two sons, Christopher (Kathy) Rodriguez of Kerhonkson, NY and Anthony (Cindy) Rodriguez of Clinton, NC; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Barry (Bonnie) Lawrence of Tulsa, OK, Lanny (Sharon) Lawrence of Seattle, WA and Wayne (Ann) Lawrence of Sarasota, FL and her sister-in-law Dee Lawrence of Largo, FL.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Brian Lawrence.
Memorial Services will be held on in Saturday, October 29th from 10- 11 am at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home Kerhonkson, NY (845) 626-3331 with a Celebration of Sheila's life beginning at 11am. Inurnment will follow at the Accord Rural Cemetery.
