I was so saddened to hear of Steve's passing. He was my junior prom date when we were classmates at Rondout. I have only the fondest of memories of him and my heart goes out to his family.

To Lisa -- Stephen was in school with our son, John, so we have known him since he was in kindergarten. We share a tiny piece of your loss. Our hearts go out to you and your children. To Lola and Aslan -- Based on our own experience, we know about the huge, rock-hard weight that is in your hearts. We think of you often and send our love.

My deepest condolences to the Dishek family. Steve was my tennis partner on the high school tennis team. He was a wonderful person and always made us laugh. Although I haven't seen him in many years, I still tell funny stories about him (I told one to Rose Ann Lapp just last month when we were visiting). He will be fondly remembered by all. I'm very sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with your entire family during this difficult time.
