William “Bill” Langjan, Sr., age 76, of Kerhonkson, NY passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Born on May 24, 1941 in Kingston, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy (North) Langjan.
Bill was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Rochester for over 30 years and volunteered as Rochester Company 2 Fire Police in the Accord Fire District for 20 years. Bill enjoyed country music and the outdoors. He especially loved to go hunting with his family. Bill was a good man, always ready to tell a story and have a laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons; William Jr., Thomas, David and Timothy. His sisters; Mary Dutka, Kathy Hall, Joanne Avery and Susie Edwards. His brothers; Frank and Robert, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother and sister, Jack and Thelma.
Memorial visiting will be held on Thursday, September 7th from 4-8 PM at Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. Inurnment will be Friday 11am at Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston.
